Robert Coupe Secretary Robert was raised in Johnston and graduated from Bishop Hendricken High School and Colby College. After interning with Congresswoman Claudine Schneider, he began his career as an aide to Senator John Chafee in Washington, DC. After returning to Rhode Island to serve as Campaign Coordinator for Senator Chafee’s 1994 re-election and as Campaign Manager for Nancy Mayer’s 1996 U.S. Senate campaign, Robert worked in the State House for Lieutenant Governor Bernie Jackvony and directed the RI GOP’s Victory 2000 program. Rob graduated from the Boston University School of Law in 2001 and practiced law in Boston with the firm of Choate Hall & Stewart. He later served as an Assistant General Counsel for Governor Romney’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services before returning to private practice and settling in Cranston with his wife, Johnna, an elementary school teacher, and their son. |
